What is Lease Ownership Data?
Lease Ownership Data or LOD for short is a database of owners of oil and gas leases in Texas, Kansas, Illinois, Ohio, and Arkansas. The owners could own the royalty, the overriding royalty, or the working interest. LOD is the world’s largest database of Oil & Gas properties in Texas. Owners represent all people receiving royalties for producing oil and gas leases up to January 1 of this year.
Where do you get the data?
LOD is obtained by getting tax records from various state agencies throughout the year, then reverse engineering a division order. Further, we standardize all that data into a common format and put it in our database.
How often is the data updated?
LOD is updated yearly for Texas and sporadically for Kansas. Arkansas, Illinois, and Ohio will be as requested. This update process starts in July and runs through September. We have to contact hundreds of county governments.
How much does it cost?
On average the cost is .25 cent per record.
Are these qualifying leads?
No. We do not contact the prospects. We simply offer mailing lists for those interested getting data on oil and gas royalty owners saving the customer the hassle of acquiring the lists through other venues. Our lists are just lists but can give you a starting point in your oil and gas royalty owner client building search.
What format does the data come in?
We offer csv format or text format.
Can I get additional information such as lease information?
You can get information such as lease name by purchasing one of our full LOD cds. For more information please go to link for pricing and a sample of the data
How quickly will I receive the data?
Once you have made payment your download the data will be sent to you in your choice of format within 25 hours.
How does ordering work?
Once you have created your custom list and have confirmed that you wish to place the order Blackbeard Data Services will be notified of the order and someone in our office will contact you to make payment arrangements.
What form of payment do you take?
We accept all forms of credit card, checks and money orders.
Can I receive the data on cd rather than a downloadable link sent via email?
Yes you can. There will be a $10 fee for receiving the data on cd. Cd orders will take 3-5 business days for delivery.
